Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center

Boulder County’s only non-profit nature center, located right next door to the Carousel, providing year round educational programs to people of all ages.  Informative and interactive.  Room rentals available.

Mining Museum and Gillespie House

Get a glimpse into the world of hard rock mining during the late 19th and early 20th centuries at the Mining Museum. The historic Gillaspie House, built in 1907, displays clothing, accessories, and furnishings found in typical early Nederland homes. Both are open 10am – 4pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Museum is located at Bridge St on the Traffic Circle. The Gillaspie House is a block up Bridge.

Chipeta Park

Playground including toddler equipment, covered picnic area, fishing pond, Tungsten Trail.  To rent facilities, click the link above to go to the town website for contact info.

Mud Lake

The perfect learning environment for naturalists of all ages, Mud Lake is a unique wildlife habitat in western Boulder County. Come share with your family the mystery and beauty of this high-altitude reflecting pool. A great place to hike or snow shoe. Trail is easly for all ages and abilities.

Nederland Ice and Raquet Park

Olympic-sized, outdoor ice rink in the winter – tennis courts in the summer!  Located between the Elementary School and Mud Lake on Co Rd 128W

Nature’s Own

Science and nature store featuring fossils, minerals, handcrafted Onyx and gemstone jewelry.

Nederland Visitor Center
