The first official ride for the Carousel of Happiness, 7 years ago, was a silent ride in memory of 2 marines and an experience that would inspire Scott Harrison, U.S.M.C. The Carousel is Turning 5 and Writing a Book

This coming Memorial Day the Carousel will be celebrating 5 years. To mark this event we’ll have souvenir tickets, fun new gift shop merchandise and ‘the book’. A local author, and one of the people instrumental in bringing the Carousel to life, is writing the story of our Carousel. The book will cover its beginnings as a new Looff Carousel built for the Saltair Amusement Park, its journey to Nederland and include Scott’s story. The book will be available online
